My kids just loved this fun and easy craft project. These lovely shells are decorated with an image of Jesus Baptism, the Holy Spirit, and silver glitter. They can be hung by the loop on the top. My little girls made necklaces out of them. ;-)These are nice when learning about Jesus Baptism in January, the feast of John the Baptist (June 24), or the martyrdom on John the Baptist (Aug 29).

You will need:
Flat shells like scallops or clamshells ~ about 2 inches in size. Don’t have shells? There are also printable scallops in this file. Or you can buy a basket or bag-full of shells at a dollar store or craft store
printable image of Jesus Baptism and the Holy Spirit (Below)
silver glitter or silver glitter glue
String, ribbon, raffia, or twine
scissors
glue stick
hot glue

Instructions:
Print and cut out the Baptism and Holy Spirit images. Glue the Baptism image to the inside part of the shell and glue the dove above the baptism picture. Add glitter around the baptism image. Hot glue a looped string, ribbon, or twine to the top of the shell. It’s that easy and it looks so lovely!
You can use the printable paper scallops if you don’t have real shells

Another Idea:
My 7 year old wanted to take this simple craft a step further, so we found two shells that could *kind of* fit together and added tape to the inside top of both so it would open, using the tape like a hinge. We glued the Baptism picture to the inside and the dove to the outside. Then we added the twine to the top.

God Bless,
